Jonas I. Bromberg, Psy.D., has extensive clinical and research experience in the field of health psychology. His clinical work focuses on patient’s adaptation and adjustment to illness. He is a graduate of the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology and completed his internship, post-doctoral and advanced fellowship training through Harvard Medical School affiliated programs at Children’s Hospital Medical Center, the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Judge Baker Children's Center. Dr. Bromberg specializes in working with families dealing with cancer and adults coping with congenital heart disease. His primary work at Inflexxion involves research and development of multimedia support programs for people with cancer related concerns. Dr. Bromberg holds faculty appointments at Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology and holds an appointments in the Department of Psychiatry at Children’s Hospital Medical Center, where he serves as a psychological consultant to the Boston Adult Congenital Heart Service. Dr. Bromberg is an Adjunct Staff Psychologist for the Human Relations Service in Wellesley, Massachusetts. He is an avid fly fisherman, surf-caster and kayaker.

Simon H. Budman, Ph.D., is the Founder and President of Inflexxion. Dr. Budman is a clinical psychologist and a nationally recognized healthcare researcher, consultant and trainer. He consults to a large national client base of MCOs, community mental health centers, health insurance companies, government agencies, HMOs, hospitals and EAPs . He has been the P.I. or Co-P.I. on dozens of NIH and foundation-funded studies, including studies funded by NCI, NIDA, NIAAA, NICHD, and NIDDK. Dr. Budman has extensive experience developing, testing and marketing behavioral health services and products to a wide range of healthcare organizations. He has served as the Associate Director of the Institute for Health Research at the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Budman is the former Director of the Mental Health Training and the Mental Health Research programs at Harvard Pilgrim Heath Care (previously Harvard Community Health Plan), the largest HMO in New England. He is the author of over 100 publications and has scripted several award winning videotapes. He is currently involved in the development and testing of interactive computer programs in the areas of substance abuse prevention, eating disorders, genetic testing, smoking cessation and HIV/AIDS prevention.


Wendy Harpham, M.D., FACP,
is a doctor of internal medicine, best-selling author, long-term cancer survivor, and mother of three young children. She uses her unique and useful perspective to teach and inspire others about all aspects of cancer survivorship. Her books, Diagnosis: Cancer. Your Guide Through the First Few Months; After Cancer: A Guide to Your New Life; and When a Parent Has Cancer: A Guide to Caring for Your Children with the companion children's book, Becky and the Worry Cup, have all been highly praised in the professional and lay presses. A nationally recognized speaker, Dr. Harpham addresses professional and lay audiences across North America, and has made numerous television and radio appearances including CBS's "This Morning," ABC's "Good Morning America," and NBC's "Today Show" and "Nightly News with Tom Brokaw." She is on the board of the Cure for Lymphoma Foundation and participates as a patient advocate in conferences and consortia on cancer care.

Gerald P. Koocher, Ph.D., is a nationally recognized expert on family adaptation to chronic illness, with extensive expertise in the field of psycho-oncology. Following a thirty year career culminating as Chief of Psychology at Children’s Hospital Medical Center and the Judge Baker Children's Center in Boston, Dr. Koocher became Dean and Professor at the Graduate School for Health Studies at Simmons College in Boston. Dr. Koocher's research interests include: psychosocial adaptation to chronic and life-threatening illnesses including arthritis, cancer, cystic fibrosis, diabetes, and sickle cell disease. His research has focused on medical non-adherence, health education, preventive interventions following the death of a child, and psychotherapy outcome studies and he has written extensively about ethics in medicine and psychology. Dr. Koocher has authored more than 100 articles, books, and chapters on a range of topics including: bereavement, family coping with chronic and life-threatening illness, and professional practice. Dr. Koocher is also a Lecturer in of Psychology at Harvard Medical School and a Lecturer on Psychology at Boston University and Boston College.

Andrea F. Patenaude, Ph.D., is a nationally recognized expert in the area of psycho-oncology research and practice. In her position as Director of Psycho-oncology Research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, she has been involved in numerous NCI, NIH and Human Genome Project funded studies examining psychological, social and ethical issues related to cancer and its treatment. Dr. Patenaude is co-author of a videotape called "I’m Still Me", an intervention program on school re-entry for pediatric cancer patients (Linn, S., Beardslee, W. & Patenaude, A., 1988). Dr. Patenaude is on the editorial board of Psycho-Oncology, and serves as a Behavioral Science Reviewer for the Department of Defense Panel for Review of Breast Cancer Center applications. She is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Harvard Medical School and serves on the professional staff of Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Boston.
